About the Guide
My Name is Captain Thomas Gougherty. I’m a Jupiter native and have been fishing these waters since I was a kid. From chasing bass in freshwater lakes to battling sailfish offshore, I’ve fished all over Florida and beyond. My true passion lies in skinny water sight fishing for snook and redfish, where precision and patience meet. I’ve traveled the world to fish—from the flats of Mexico to the coast of Africa—learning techniques from some of the best guides along the way. With experience working on sportfishing boats, I run my own vessel with the same attention to detail and professionalism. As a U.S. Coast Guard licensed and insured captain, I bring both skill and safety to every trip. Beyond fishing, I’m passionate about the outdoors in every form, from birdwatching to exploring native wildlife.
